Lakshmi Danvantri Pooja was celebrated on 30th July 2010: It was celebrated at Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Temple, Chennai. A special word of appreciation to our very own resourceful Smt. Calve Sumathi Ramakrishnan who had decorated Dhanvantri, Lakshmi & Kamakshi in her own unique way. Inspite of the rain, around 200 members turned out for the pooja and offered their prayers to goddess Vasavamba. There was a Bhajan by Manoranjani Group led by Ms. Thatha Subhashini before the pooja. Pooja was performed by Sri Hari Prasad Panthulugaru. Devotees were given the prasadams and the photograph of Dhanvantri, the god of health. Donors gave liberally in cash and kind for the pooja and mahila sabha thanks one and all.
