Mahila Sabha has conducted a beautiful program called Aattam Paattam Kondaattam under the dynamic leadership of Mallika Sivaprakash for underprivileged children on 17th August 2019 at Bentinck Higher Secondary School, Chennai from 10 AM to 2 PM. The competitions for singing, Dancing and Humor were conducted to identify talents from 7 Institutions and they were Balavihar, Stree Seva Mandir Saligramam, Sri Venkateswara Telugu School, Seers Girls Home, Chennapuri Annadana Samajam Destitute Children Home, Indian Council for Child Welfare and Ramakrishna Mission Nursery and Primary School Chennai.
Around 100 children along with their Coordinators participated in the program. It was so exciting to see the children vying with each other in their performances. It does prove that everyone is born with a talent and a little support and encouragement they will all shine. Each School excelled in their performances and the judges had a tough time in choosing the winners. The Judges for Singing competition were Padma Preetha, Vaijayanthi and Nanda; Judges for Dance Competition were Rajini, Sudha and Manimala and Judges for Comedy Killadi were Neeraja, Sashi Kala and Sumathi. Dr. Jayashree coordinated with the Judges and in announcing the winners. Sheilashree was a wonderful MC and she took the event smoothly and successfully
After all the performances Judges announced the winners and we were very happy to honor the winners with a medal, certificate, gift and chocolates. All the seven schools were given lovely toys which could be used by the children in the School. The whole day was enjoyed by all the children. We gave refreshments and lunch. We took group pictures with the winners and also a group photo of all the students, coordinators and committee members. It was a huge hit and we all went home with lot of satisfaction.
